Ft. Meyers, Fla. - The University of Louisville women's golf team finished second in the Pelican Preserve Tuesday afternoon in Ft. Meyers, Fla. The Cardinals finished with a score of 882, just three strokes behind tournament winner Texas Tech. College of Charleston finished second with a score of 884 and South Florida finished fourth with a score of 887.
"This was a great finish for us," said head coach Kelly Rothberg. "We worked hard in practice to always be in contention for the title. We played really strong this tournament and put ourselves in a good position as the fall season starts to wrap up. We were able to beat everyone in the east region and that will help us for regionals."
