
Cardinals' Rally Falls Just Short In Loss To No. 11 Blue Demons, 48-44

CHICAGO (AP) - Allie Quigley had 17 points and nine rebounds, leading No. 12 DePaul to a 48-44 victory over Louisville on Wednesday night.
Khara Smith had 12 rebounds and five steals, and Jenna Rubino added 10 points for the Blue Demons (18-2, 5-2 Big East).
Jazz Covington scored 14 points to lead Louisville (13-5, 4-3), which lost for the third time in five games. Yuliya Tokova added nine points and seven rebounds.
With the game tied 11-all, DePaul went on a 15-0 run to take the lead for good. Rubino had five points in the run, with Quigley capping it with two free throws. Louisville attempted to come back in the second half, using an 11-0 run to cut its deficit to 39-35.
Louisville had 24 turnovers, tying a season-high, and also had a season-low scoring total.
In the first half, DePaul's aggressive defense forced 17 turnovers while holding Louisville to 25-0percent shooting, including 1-of-9 from 3-point range.
