Louisville, Kyl - Danielle Kom has signed a national letter-of-intent to continue her golf career at the University of Louisville next season. Kom, a senior at Christian Academy of Louisville, helped guide her team to the 2004 and 2005 Kentucky State Tournament.
"I started recruiting Danielle the moment I found out she wanted to stay instate," said head coach Kelly Meyers. "She is a very similar player to Meghan Little. She has great athletic ability and it will be exciting to see her game improve over the next four years. She will be able to grow as a player with our program."
Kom was named the team Most Valuable Player her junior and senior seasons. Kom finished second in the South Park, Gibson Bay and Andover Tournaments. She also finished second at the Jefferson County Tournament. She was named captain her senior year. Kom also lettered in for four seasons in basketball at Christian Academy.
