
Calderon Named to C-USA All-Decade Softball Team

IRVING, Texas - - Former University of Louisville softball standout, Keola Calderon was named to the Conference USA Softball All-Decade team.
Conference USA is celebrating its 10th anniversary during the 2004-05 season. In conjunction, the league is naming the Team of the Decade for each of the conferences' 19 sports. Softball is the latest sport to have its All-Decade team released.
Calderon, a native of Orcutt, Calif., played for the Cardinals from 2000-03. She was part if the initial class of freshman slated to start the program in its inaugural season and went on to leave her name etched in the school's record books. Throughout her time U of L she played outfield, first base, third base and designated player.
During her career, Calderon was a four-time All-C-USA selection and was named to the 2000 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-South Region second team. She did not miss a game while playing at Louisville, and started all but one. Among her many offensive records, Calderon currently holds the school record for career games played with 233. She also owns the career doubles record with 53 and the career RBI record with 140.
