The No. 71-ranked University of Louisville women's tennis team beat crosstown opponent Bellarmine 5-0 Saturday evening at Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. The Cardinals improved their record to 19-7, bearing down on their goal for their third straight 20-win season.
Playing only singles, U of L swept the Knights. Leslie Stewart won at No. 1 singles, beating Maria Hornung 6-1, 6-1. Robyn White, Kelly Taylor and Suzanna Gracanin all won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 respectively. At No. 4, Natalie Laszkowski won 6-0, 6-1. The schools did not play doubles.
