
No. 75 Women's Tennis Beats Middle Tennessee

The No. 75-ranked Louisville women's tennis team (8-2)beat visiting Middle Tennessee State 5-2 Friday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
Louisville opened the match by taking the doubles point. The doubles team of Natalie Laszkowski and Kelly Taylor rolled 8-1 at the No. 2 spot over Emily Vest and Anna Cibils. Ariana Marshall and freshman Robyn White handled Jacqui Williams and Claudia Szabo 8-2 at No. 3. The Lady Raiders avoided a sweep, however, as the doubles tandem of Jennifer Klaschka and Ann-Kristin Siljestrom edged Suzanna Gracanin and Leslie Stewart 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.
"We played a great match againwst a very tough regional opponent," said head coach Greg Davis. "The team is really leaving everything they have on the court each match."
White and Taylor won No. 2 and No. 3 respectively for the Cardinals. Laszkowski won easily at No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Vest. Marshall won at No. 6 to ensure the win with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Williams.
The Cardinals play New Mexico Sunday morning at Bass-Rudd.
