Women's Tennis Has Successful Weekend at Midwest Blast

The University of Louisville women's tennis team had a successful weekend at Illinois Midwest Tennis Blast in Champaign, Illinois last weekend.
Highlights include taking four of seven singles from Illinois and sweeping the doubles versus Wisconsin.
"We had a tremendous weekend," said U of L women's coach Greg Davis. "I felt we kept getting better every day of the tournament. We played extremely well against Wisconsin on Friday in singles, winning five of seven and then on Sunday sweeping the doubles. I am very proud of the way the team competed against Illinois. This was a very difficult tournament from the standpoint of playing three very well-coached, nationally ranked teams on three successive days. I feel this is the best team I have had in four seasons here at U of L. We are looking for a strong dual season out of this group."
