Field hockey's Jessica Javelet was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

University of Louisville field hockey player Jessica Javelet was named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 5. The sophomore midfielder from Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., tallied two goals including the game-winner in Louisville's 2-1 overtime win over California on Saturday, Sept. 4. Javelet currently leads the team with three goals. The Cardinals (1-3) will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. for a matchup with two-time defending national champion Wake Forest (4-0) on Sunday, Sept. 12.
