
Women's Tennis Completes Play at Roberta Alison Fall Classic

The University of Louisville women's tennis team completed play at the University of Alabama's Roberta Alison Fall Classic in Tuscaloosa. The Cardinals finished strongly with all six players winning in singles.
"This was a great first tournament for us," said U of L head coach Greg Davis. "It is the most successful fall tournaments we have had since I've been here."
In Flight A, Leslie Stewart beat Samford's Emily White 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 with Kelly Taylor winning 6-4, 6-2 over Samford's Sarah McKey in Flight B. Suzanna Gracanin finished third in Flight C with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Anna Maria Forgacs of Georgia State. Freshman Robyn White finished fifth in Flight E with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Mari Muller of Alabama. Sophomore Natalie Laszkowski also had a fifth place finish with a win over Simona Foltyn of Georgia State. In Flight G, Arianna Marshall won a 6-1, 6-2 decision over Casey Ragsdale of Birmingham-Southern.
"I thought our freshment Robyn and Suzanna had a great tournament," said Davis. "I am extremely pleased with this great outing."
The Cardinals travel to Lexington for the UK Fall Tournament beginning this Friday. The field will include Kentucky, Ohio State, Illinois, Marshall, William and Mary among others.
"The tournament at UK will be another step up in competition and we are looking forward to the challenge. I think the tournament at Alabama prepared us well for that," said Davis.
