Field hockey hosts Indiana Friday in 2004 home opener

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - The University of Louisville field hockey team will host its home opener against Indiana Friday, Sept. 17 at 3:00pm at Trager Stadium.
Sophomore Jessica Javelet leads the team in offense with three goals and six points. The Cardinals will enter the game with a 1-4 record, coming off a 6-1 loss to the defending national champion Wake Forest. Indiana boasts a 5-1 overall record and is No. 17 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association rankings. U of L holds a 4-2 record in the series and defeated the Hoosiers 2-0 on Oct. 26, 2003 in the most recent matchup.
The Cards will face William and Mary (4-2) Sunday, Sept. 19 at 1:00pm at Trager Stadium. The teams are tied at 1-1 in the series. The Cards edged the Tribe 2-1 in penalty strokes on August 31, 2003.
