
Bowman Qualifies for NCAA Championships in High Jump

BATON ROUGE, La. - University of Louisville junior Kelley Bowman placed third in the high jump at the NCAA Mideast Regionals to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the event. The Mideast Regional meet was held in Baton Rouge, La.
Bowman cleared 5 feet, 8.50 inches to place third in the event to automatically advance to the national meet. She is the first Cardinal to advance to the NCAA Championship since Bettina Bard competed in 1997.
Junior Jacey Hughes finished ninth in the pole vault after clearing 12-4, the second best height in school history.
The NCAA Championship will be held June 9-12 in Austin, Texas.
