Transfer Ariana Marshall will join the University of Louisville's women's tennis team this fall and will have two years of eligibility remaining after competing at Southern University in Baton Rouge.
Besides her experience as a Jaguar where she helped Southern to two NCAA appearances, Marshall represented Barbados at the 2004 Pan American Games.
"We are pleased that Ariana will be joining the U of L family starting in the fall," said U of L head coach Greg Davis, whose squad just posted its second straight 20-win season after reaching the semi-final match in the Conference USA Tournament.
"She has experience in collegiate post-season plus international experience when she represented Barbados at the most recent Pan Am Games," continued Davis. "I feel she has a tremendous potential and athletic ability. We feel very fortunate to sign not only a great player but a tremendous student as well."
