C-USA Softball Tournament Schedule Changes Due to Inclement Weather

LOUISVILLE , Ky. - - Due to inclement weather, the 2004 Conference USA Softball Tournament has been postponed until Saturday.
Game seven featuring No. 3 seed USF and fifth-seeded Houston was halted on Friday evening in the bottom of the third inning and will resume Saturday at 9 a.m. at Ulmer Stadium. The Cougars are leading the Bulls, 5-0, with two outs in the bottom of the third.
No. 6 East Carolina and fourth-seeded DePaul will face off in game eight at 11 a.m. on Saturday, while game nine will follow at 2:05 p.m. Game nine will pit the loser of game seven against the winner of game eight and will be televised.
The championship game will be played on Sunday at a time to be determined.
The championship is a six-team double-elimination tournament, with the winner receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. The 2 p.m. semifinal game (Game Nine) on May 15 will be televised by affiliates of the Conference USA Television Network. Don Russell will announce the play-by-play with Cheri Kempf providing the commentary. The game will be telecasted live on the following stations: Charter Communications (St. Louis), Comcast Charter Sports Southeast, Cox Sports TV (New Orleans), Fox Sports Net Chicago, UNC Charlotte Cable Television, WDRB-TV Fox 41 (Louisville) and WGSR-TV (Greensboro). The follwing stations will be telecasted on tape delay: College Sports Television (Direct TV, Ch. 610 - May 15, 6 p.m.), Fox Sports Net South (tape delay TBD), and Fox Sports Southwest (May 17, 1 p.m.)
