
Moore Named C-USA Hitter of the Week

University of Louisville softball player Courtney Moore was named C-USA Hitter of the Week for her performance in the Louisville Courtyard Marriott East Classic. This marks the second consecutive week she has earned league hitter of the week honors.
Moore a freshman from Visalia, Calif., helped the Cardinals to a 3-0 record to win the Courtyard Marriott East Classic. She batted 7-for-10 (.700) with five runs and six RBI. Moore's two-run homer proved to be the game-winner in U of L's 2-1 win over Iowa State. The rookie shortstop recorded at least two hits and two RBI in each game over the week. She currently leads the Cards in on-base percentage (.535) and is in on an 11-game hitting streak.
The Cardinals (14-6) will open C-USA play when they host No. 22 South Florida (22-5) Saturday, March 13. The teams are scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and a single game Sunday at noon at Ulmer Stadium.
