
Tennessee, Virginia Defeat Louisville in Rowing

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Louisville rowing team dropped a pair of varsity races to the University of Tennessee and a pair of novice races to the University of Virginia and Tennessee Saturday morning in Knoxville, Tenn.
The Cardinals placed second behind Tennessee in both varsity races. In the First Varsity 8+ race, the eighth-ranked and undefeated Lady Vols finished the 2000-meter course in 7:08.85, followed by Louisville at 7:25.07.
The Lady Vols won the Second Varsity 8+ race with a time of 7:27.27, while the Cardinals came in at 7:45.11.
In the Novice races, Virginia won both races, with Tennessee finishing runner-up and the Cardinals placing third. Virginia edged the Lady Vols in the First Novice 8+ race by less than one second with a time of 7:28.03. UT came in at 7:28.69 and Louisville clocked in at 8:01.49.
Virginia dominated the Second Novice 8+ race with a time of 8:06.70, followed by Tennessee at 8:29.90 and U of L at 8:59.41.
