
Moore Named C-USA Hitter of the Week

University of Louisville softball player Courtney Moore was named C-USA Hitter of the Week for her performance at the Red and Black Classic where she led the Cardinals to a 3-1 mark.
The shortstop from Visalia, Calif., batted .545 on the weekend (6-for-11), collecting a double and a triple and posting four RBI while leading the Cardinals to a 3-1 record. The freshman drove in the game-winning run against No. 19 Iowa with a triple, and had at least one hit in each game at the Red and Black Classic. She went 2-for-3 in both games against Western Kentucky and Toledo. Moore collected a .643 on-base percentage and a .818 slugging percentage on the weekend. She is currently fourth on the team with a .375 batting average.
U of L (11-6) will play Kent State Friday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Ulmer Stadium in the Louisville Courtyard Marriott East Classic.
