Louisville, Ky. - Russell County's Amanda Henry has signed a national letter-of-intent to continue her golf career at the University of Louisville announced head coach Kelly Meyers. Henry was named the 2004 KGA-PGA Player of the Year.
"We are really excited to have Amanda stay instate and play for the Cardinals," said Meyers. "We expect her to make a huge impact with her work ethic, her length off the tee and her discipline of doing what it takes to get the ball in the hole. She is a very competitive player that just won't quit. She will definitely add depth to our already strong team and is a perfect fit for our program."
Henry was named all-state her sophomore and junior seasons. She was a 2004 Junior Medalist at the Kentucky Women's State Am. Henry finished second at the Kentucky Junior State Amateur in 2004.
