
Women's Golf Moves Up Two Spots in Final Round

Greenville, S.C. - The University of Louisville women's golf team moved up two spots to finish tied at 14th in the Lady Paladin on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals finished the day shooting a 300 for a final score of 909. Furman, the host team, won the tournament with a score of 871. The University of Georgia finished second with a score of 872 and Auburn finished third with a 885.
Sophomore Adrienne White shot a 71 in the final round to finish tied at 18th with a score of 222, just six over par. Furman's Monique Gesualdi held on to win titlest honors with a score of 213.
Cardinal junior Elly Leonard shot a 75 in the third round to finish tied for 43rd with a score of 226. Senior Meghan Little shot a 76 on the day and finished tied for 58th place with a score of 229.
Freshman Jenny Calkins carded a 78 in the final round to finish tied at 89th with a score of 236. Sophomore Amy Yeates shot an 80 in the third round to finishe with a score of 239, tying her for 100th. Sophomore Cristina Gonzalez withdrew in the final round with an injury. Gonzalez was competing as an individual.
