
Men's Soccer to Host Saint Louis Saturday Evening

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team will host the Saint Louis Billikens on Saturday evening in Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m. The Cardinals enter the game with a 4-4-4 record and a 1-1-1 league record. Saint Louis enters the game with an overall record of 6-1-1 and a conference record of 3-1-1.
The Cardinals are coming off their second consecutive shutout with an 0-0 double overtime tie with Ohio State. Freshman David Guzman leads the Cardinals in scoring with three goals and two assists.
The Billikens are coming into the game with two consecutive wins, including a 2-1 decision over No. 24 UAB last Saturday night. Sophomore Will John leads the team with nine goals and three assists on the season. John leads the league in scoring with his 21 points.
The Cardinals' defense has tightened up the last two games with back-to-back shutouts. Juniors Matt Neely and Tim Velten along with sophomore Ryan Meyer have anchored the back field. Junior keeper Tyler Wilcox led the team in goal with shutouts over DePaul and Ohio State.
Saturday's game will be Kentucky Youth Soccer night.
