Netzler Named MAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

University of Louisville field hockey player Olivia Netzler was named Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 21.
The senior forward from New South Wales, Australia, tallied two goals including the game-winner in Louisville's 3-2 overtime win against Ohio State Saturday. Netzler currently leads the team with four goals and nine points. She moved to second on the school's list for career goals with 27 and is third on the list for career points with 68.
The Cardinals (4-3) will open MAC competition when they play host to Central Michigan Friday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. at Trager Stadium. U of L is currently No. 14 in the National Field Hockey Coaches poll and No. 11 in the womensfieldhockey.com poll.
