Nord Named Conference USA Scholar Athlete of the Year

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville's Sara Nord was named Conference USA Scholar Athlete of the year for women's basketball. Conference USA Scholar Athlete of the Year awards are presented to the top student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport. The award is based on academic achievement (GPA), athletic achievement and service.
Nord led the league in assists and broke the school and league career record this season with 656 assists. She was second on the team in scoring with 14.0 points per game. She was also a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award, for the nation's top point guard. Nord also earned first team All-Conference USA Honors for the third straight year.
The junior was also named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
