LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville coaches and athletics staff will visit three area communities in June with the "Cardinal Caravan" in an effort to reach out to its fans.
Members of the U of L coaching and support staff will visit Elizabethtown, Ky. on June 2; Lexington on June 3; and southern Indiana on June 16. The events are free. Among the U of L coaches scheduled to appear at each site are men's basketball coach Rick Pitino and a pair of first-year Cardinal coaches: football coach Bobby Petrino and women's basketball coach Tom Collen.
"Interest in Cardinal Athletics continues to grow outside of the Greater Louisville area," said Tom Jurich, Director of Athletics. "We want to continue to reach out with our programs beyond the city limits to the fans in other areas and have a chance to greet and thank them for their support face-to-face."
Specific sites and event times follow. For further information, contact the U of L special events office at (502) 852-1974.
