We were prepared going into the conference tournament last week, and it showed when we played against St. Louis. We were full of energy, confidence was skyrocketing, and for the first time in a while we played together as a team. I thought that would carry on to our next game against Depaul, but we came short. In the first half we started out slow, and that was a deciding factor. In the end they hit a few clutch three point shots, and that boosted them onto a win.
Overall, I was happy with our performance. We overcame a lot of adversity, came together as a team, and the coaches were proud of us. This season was full of ups and downs, and it didn't result out as I expected. The upside is that I am a stronger person. I will miss my teammates and coaches.
My next goal is to get ready for the next level. It has been my dream, and I will do whatever it takes to achieve it. I know I need to improve in a few areas, but I have confidence in my abilities. I feel like I'm going to accomplish this goal. It's a new chapter in my life, and while that can be scary, I'm excited to experience it.
I enjoyed my playing time with UofL, and I feel like I'm apart of a family here. Thanks to all of our fans, I really appreciate your support this season.
God bless, Lori Nero #44
