
Women's Golf Tied for Fifth

Lexington, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team is currently tied for fifth place after the first round of play in the 2002 Lady Kat Invitational. The Cardinals shot a 307 and is tied with the University of Miami. The University of Tennessee leads with a first round score of 290. Mississippi State is in second with a score of 301 while Penn State is third with a 303.
Senior Cindy Pasechnik currently is tied for sixth place with a first round score of 73. Freshman Elly Leonard shot a 76, ranking her 20th and Morgan Hapney, Alison Wright, and Jessica Kell shot 79 and are tied at 38th. Kell is competing as an individual.
Rounding out the Cardinal squad is sophomore Meghan Little with a score of 80. Redshirt freshman Candace Pasechnik shot an 85 and senior Erin Bell shot a 90.
The Cardinals will continue play tomorrow morning on the University Club of Kentucky.
