
Cardinal Caravan Heads to Owensboro

LOUISVILLE, KY - The University of Louisville athletic department will visit Owensboro, Kentucky in the final stop of the 2002 Cardinal Caravan on Tuesday, August 20th at 12:00 p.m. CST at the Daniel Pitino Shelter.
Cardinal basketball Head Coach Rick Pitino and other members of the athletic department will address the crowd at 12:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and the first 500 fans will be provided with free lunch courtesy of the Kentucky Pork Producers and Pepsi.
There will be free tours of the Daniel Pitino Shelter, which was established in 1994 as a shelter for the homeless, providing necessary services to those in need. It was built in memory of the Pitinos' infant son Daniel and is located at 501 Walnut Street in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Parking will be made available in the parking lot at Saint Stephens Church on Cedar Street.
