Peavy Named PTR's Kentucky Member of the Year

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Dan Santorum of The Professional Tennis Registry announced that University of Louisville women's tennis coach Meg Peavy will receive the PTR Kentucky Member of the Year.
The PTR awards a Member of the Year honor to an individual from each of the fifty states. This year's awards ceremony will be held on August 24th at the Grand Hyatt Ballroom in New York City. PTR President Dennis Van de Meer will be presenting.
As a player at U of L, Peavy, of Tallahassee, FL., compiled a 100-17 singles record. This record ranks first amongst the school's all-time winning percentages for singles tennis (.885). She compiled a 85-11 doubles record. Peavy spent the last 18 years as the head women's coach, compiling an overall record of 328-220.
Peavy currently serves as the associate director of the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center at U of L. She was inducted into the U of L Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000 for her achievements as a player and coach.
