Six Cardinals Earn All-Conference Honors

CHICAGO - Six University of Louisville softball players have been named to the 2002 Conference USA softball teams.
Kenzie Meisenburg, Keola Calderon and Sara Bausher were first team selections, while Jessica Rak was named to the second team. Bausher, Lisa Estes and Krystle Herold were named to the All-Freshman team.
Meisenburg, a senior shortstop from Tucson, Ariz. led the team with a .387 batting average, scored 45 runs and was a perfect 15-for-15 in stolen bases. She was named to the C-USA All-Tournament teams in 2002 and 2001 and was a 2001 second team All-Region selection.
Calderon, a junior outfielder from Orcutt, Calif. is a three-time First Team All-Conference selection. She started every game for Louisville and was third on the team with a .313 batting average. She led the team with 17 doubles and was second on the squad with 32 RBI.
Bausher, a freshman outfielder from Las Vegas, Nev. played in all but one game for the Cards, and batted .281. She was second on the team with four home runs.
Rak, a junior pitcher from Arvada, Colo. set a new school record for single season wins with a 23-14 record. She had a 1.66 ERA and notched victories over everyconference team except C-USA champion DePaul.
Estes, a catcher from Ramona, Calif. had a .228 batting average and saw action in 54 of Louisville's 55 games.She was third on the team with 22 RBI.
Herold finished the season with a 3.10 ERA and a 4-9 record with a shutout and 28 strikeouts. She had a 2.50 ERA in conference play.
Louisville completed the 2002 season with a 27-28 record (11-10 C-USA) and a fourth place finish in the league.
