
Women's Golf Finishes Sixth in C-USA Championship

Hattiesburg, Miss. - The University of Louisville women's golf team shot a 305 in the final round of the Conference USA Championship on Sunday. The Cardinals finished the tournament tied sixth place with a score of 915.
TCU shot a 290 in the final round to win the tournament with a score of 886. Tulane shot a 299 to finish second with a score of 889. South Florida shot a 300 to finish third with a score of 898.
Louisville junior Cindy Pasechnik shot a 74 today to finish in third, just two strokes off the lead. Pasechnik finished with a score of 217. TCU's Brooke Tull won medalist honors with a score of 215. South Florida's Kelly Martin finished second with a score of 216.
Pasechnik was named first team all-conference in a ceremony following the tournament. She also earned Conference USA All-Tournament honors for finishing in the top five.
Sophomore Morgan Hapney came back to shoot a team low round of 73 the final day. Hapney finished tied for 27th place. Junior Jessica Kell shot a final round of 76 and finished the tournament tied for 21st place with a score of 233.
Sophomore Alison Wright shot an 82 today to finish tied for 31st place with a score of 235. Redshirt freshman Meghan Little shot an 84 to finish 45th.
