LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In celebration of National Student-Athlete Day, the University of Louisville will be hosting a free CardsCARE Sports Clinic on Saturday, April 6 at Trager Stadium in Cardinal Park.
The clinic is open to children ages kindergarten through eighth grade and is limited to the first 150 participants. Sign-in will begin at 10 a.m. and will run until 12:30 p.m. All participants must pre-register for the event and have a signed consent form from a parent or guardian
Participants will receive instruction from U of L student-athletes while also getting hands-on experience in basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball and tennis.
"This is our way of giving back to the youth in our community as a token of our appreciation for their continued support of Cardinal athletics," said CardsCARE Coordinator Alison Bass.
National Student-Athlete Day is America's day to celebrate outstanding student-athletes who have achieved excellence in academics and athletics while making significant contributions to the community.
