Rak Named C-USA Softball Pitcher of the Week

University of Lousville softball pitcher Jessica Rak was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week. The junior from Arvada, Colo. earned the honor after going 2-1 on the week with a one-hit shutout of New Mexico State and a win over No. 14 Notre Dame at the Arizona Pepsi Challenge. She only allowed two earned runs in three games (14 innings) and struck out eight batters.

U of L (2-6) has played six games against teams ranked in the top 25 including top-ranked Arizona. The Cardinals will travel to Cookeville, Tenn. to compete in the Tennessee Tech Tournament.
