Softball plays Auburn, game called due to time

TUCSON, Ariz.-- The University of Louisville softball team played Auburn to a 5-5 tie before the game was called after the fifth inning due to time constraints on Sunday, the final day of the Arizona Pepsi Challenge . The game will not count on either team's records.
The Cardinals began the scoring in the top of the second inning when Aja Sherman led off with a double, Kristi Rozelle drew a walk and Shannon Nord's infield hit loaded the bases. Sara Bausher drove in Sherman and Rozelle to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead. Keola Calderon's three-run homer made the score 5-0.
The Tigers put up four runs in the fourth inning when Kasey Angula led off with a walk, moved to third on Deni Zeigler's double and crossed the plate on Jodie Van Ooyey's base hit to make the score 5-1.Martha Phillips' single scored Zeigler to make the score 4-2. Shannon Anderson's two-run single brought the Tigers within one, 5-4.
The Tigers tied the game in the bottom of the fifth when Angulo hit into a fielder's choice, moved to second when Zeigler grounded out and scored on Rasheedah Hameed's single to make the score 5-5.
The teams finished the game after the fifth inning.
Louisville (2-6) will travel to Cookeville to play the the Tennessee Tech Tournament.
