Question: What is the Fan Drive?
Answer: The Fan Drive 2002 campaign is a project overseen by the Cardinal Athletic Fund. The Fan Drive is a campaign that encourages current CAF membership to invite new Louisville fans to support U of L Athletics. In appreciation for the extra effort on the part of current donors, U of L will provide special thank-you incentives to fans who sign up new contributors. In an attempt to locate ALL Card fans, the Fan Drive will help educate fans how they can get involved with Louisville Athletics.
Question: How do I get involved in the Fan Drive?
Answer: You must be a current Cardinal Athletic Fund member to participate. If you are not currently a member, you can still participate by contributing the minimum amount of $50.00 to the Cardinal Athletic Fund. Once you've become a member, it's easy! Talk to your friends, family members, business associates, etc. that are Cardinal enthusiasts but do not currently know who to become involved. Print off the membership form and be sure to include your name and information on it and send it in to the CAF office. The CAF office will track all results and send you a follow-up letter at the end of the campaign.
Question: How do I get people to sign up? What's in it for them?
Answer: That's simple. Just by educating them how they can get involved in the success of Cardinal Athletics and how their support, whether it's $50.00 or $50,000.00, goes to help our coaches recruit the best athletes in the world, build state-of-the-art facilities and provide our student-athletes the financial assistance to be successful after graduation. Aside from the personal satisfaction of helping their school, they get to take advantage of CAF benefits such as tax priveleges, football & men's basketball media guides, the Louisville Sports Report, parking and priority seating at football and basketball.
Question: Once I sign up someone and they meet the requirements as set forth in the CAF literature, will they be able to buy season basketball tickets?
Answer: At this time basketball renewal invoices have already gone out and the deadline for requests for new seats has already passed. However, if the person you are talking with is very serious about the possibility of obtaining seats in Freedom Hall this season, please get them in contact with someone in the CAF office.
Question: If I have signed up enough new fans to qualify for the Level 4 incentive prize, can I substitute two prizes from another Level instead of getting the one in Level 4?
Answer: No.
Question: How can I win the all-expense paid trip to Knoxville to see the basketball team play Tennessee?
Answer: All you have to do is locate and sign up one new CAF donor. For every new donor you sign up, you will have your name entered. Increase your chances with every new donor you sign up. For example, if you sign up 10 new donors and your neighbor only signs up one, you have a much greater opportunity of winning the trip because your name was entered 10 times to his/her one.
Question: What is CAF Day?
Answer: It is October 2. It's a day in which we are inviting all of our over 7,000 donors back to campus as a way of saying "Thank You". Cardinal Park will be on display that evening as women's soccer plays Murray State at 5:00, Field Hockey plays Indiana at 7:00 and men's soccer plays Kentucky at 7:00. Admission is free and $10.00 of free concessions coupons will be given to CAF donors with this print out. Fan Drive incentive prizes will be on display for you to check out.
