Patterson rushed for 121 and 101 yards, respectively, and Deion Branch had 116 yards receiving against Tulane in 2001.
- J.R. Russell's 30-yard, first-quarter touchdown reception was his first of the season and the third of his career.

- The 97 rushing yards in the first half surpassed the Cards' game totals against Kentucky, Colorado State and TCU.
- Dave Ragone passed for a career-high five scores and now has 17 for the season and 67 for his career. He had previously passed for four touchdowns against Grambling and UAB as a sophomore in 2000.

- Henry Miller's 37-yard rush on the Cards' opening possession of the first half was the second-longest run from scrimmage on the season for U of L. He has now rushed for a touchdown in seven straight games.
- With 127 yards rushing, Henry Miller became the first Cardinal to top the century mark since he and T.J. Patterson each ran for over 100 yards against Tulane in 2001, a stretch of 11 games.

- After misfiring on his first attempt, Dave Ragone completed a school-record 18 consecutive passes. Chris Redman previously held the record with 17 straight completions at Tulane in 1998. - K Nate Smith made his first 29 extra point kicks of the season before his sixth attempt of the day bounced off the left upright and missed.
