Louisville Notes
- Prior to today's game, the longest rush by a U of L opponent was 27 yards by Colorado State's Cecil Sapp. Today, Lonta Hobbs (50 yards) and Ricky Madison (32 yards) both surpassed that figure with first-quarter runs.
- The 38 points by TCU in the first half marked the most points scored by a U of L opponent on the season. The previous high for most points by a U of L opponent came in the Cards' 36-33 loss at Colorado State.
- The 294 yards of total offense in the first half by TCU marked the most allowed by U of L in the opening half this season. In fact, the 294 yards of total offense was more than the Cards allowed in the entire game against Kentucky (273), Duke (175) and Army (140). On the flip side, the 67 yards of total offense by the Cards marked the lowest first-half tally of the season for U of L.
- Opponents have passed for nine touchdowns against the Cards over the last three games. Opponents logged only 13 passing touchdowns all of last season.
- Jonathon Jackerson's third-quarter punt block was the sixth of the season for U of L. The Cards lead the nation in that category.
- With 10 rushing touchdowns on the season, Henry Miller moves into a three-way tie for 10th place on the U of L single season rushing touchdown charts.
- U of L started the season 0-for-3 on two-point conversions, but completed two in a row during the 18-point third quarter.
- QB Dave Ragone threw for a season-high 309 yards in the contest, completing 18 of 34 passes (previous high: 294 vs. Colorado State).
- The 45 points by TCU marks the most by a U of L opponent since Army scored 59 against the Cards on October 7, 1999. The 45 points also marks the second-highest tally by a U of L opponent at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium (Kentucky defeated the Cards 68-34 on Sept. 5, 1998).
- Michael Stricklin (chemical engineering major) and Anar Mashruwalla (biology major) were crowned homecoming king and queen, respectively, in halftime ceremonies.
