Netzler Named Player of the Week

University of Louisville field hockey player Olivia Netzler earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday, Sept. 24. The freshman from New South Wales, Australia, recorded four goals and dished out three assists for a total of 11 points as Louisville went 3-0. Netzler had one assist and at least one goal in each of Louisville's wins. She scored two goals and dished out one assist in U of L's 4-3 win over No. 15 Ohio State. Netzler leads the conference in goals scored with seven and in points with 19.
This marks the second consecutive week that a U of L player has earned player of the week honors.
Louisville (7-1) is currently ranked No. 10 in the STX/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll. The new national rankings will be released Tuesday, Sept. 25.
