U of L student-athletes have the unique opportunity to spend much of their time giving back to the surrounding community through the CardsCARE (Community Action Response Effort) program. Cardinal student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff members have volunteered their time and talent with numerous organizations in an effort to assist the community. Last year, a total of 5,475 hours were donated to the greater Louisville community, reaching over 20,000 individuals.
