LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville coaches and athletics staff will take to the road July 17-19 with the "Cardinal Caravan" in an effort to reach out to fans.
"Interest in Cardinal Athletics has continued to grow outside of the Greater Louisville area," said Tom Jurich, Director of Athletics. "We want to take our programs beyond the city limits to the fans in other areas and have a chance to greet and thank them for their support face-to-face."
Members of the U of L coaching and support staff will visit Kroger stores at 10 locations in Kentucky and Southern Indiana over a three-day period. A complete listing and appearance times at those sites follows.
The Jewish Hospital Healthcare Express, a mobile medical care unit that is on site at many University of Louisville Athletics events, will be on site at selected locations to provide tours for fans in attendance.
Among the U of L representatives appearing at the various sites are football coach John L. Smith, whose other commitments allow him to attend three locations, and men's basketball coach Rick Pitino, who is scheduled to be present at all sites of the tour.
