Wright Finishes 6th in Ontario Amateur Ladies Open

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville women's golfer, Alison Wright, shot a 74, 69, 77 (220) to finish sixth at the Ontario Amateur Ladies Championship held at the par 73 Kingsville Golf and Country Club course.
Her 4-under par 69 in the second round was the best round by a Cardinal this year and her three day total of 220 is also lowest for a U of L player.
Wright finished behind two outstanding fellow Canadian collegiate golfers. Runner-up Alena Sharp, who shot a 72, 71, 72 (215) plays for New Mexico State, a top ten program. Laura Henderson, who played for the NCAA Champion University of Georgia last spring finished third. Henderson was the 2000 Ontario Amateur Ladies Championship winner but did not repeat, shooting a 74, 70, 73 (217) for a fourth place finish.
