
Women's Golf Earns Academic All-American Honors

Louisville, Ky. - Senior Katherine Mowat and Sophomore Cindy Pasechnik of the University of Louisville women's golf team were named to the Verizon Academic District IV All-America Team. Mowat earned first team honors and Pasechnik was named to the second team.
Mowat was honored for carrying a cumulative grade point average of 3.803 in physical education. She was second on the team this season with an average of 77.72. She finished the season with two top ten finishes and two top twenty finishes.
Pasechnik was honored for carrying a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 in finance. She was the Cardinals' top golfer this season with an average of 77.52. She had three top ten finishes and three top twenty finishes on the season.
Mowat will be added to the national ballot for the Verizon Academic All-America honors. Members on the first team of every district will be on the national ballot.
