
Women's Tennis Announces Team Awards

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team announced its team awards for the 2000-2001 season.
Senior Kelly Whitler was named Team Most Valuable Player. Freshman Mariana Torres earned the 110% Award and sophomore Kelly Kiehna was named Most Improved Player.
Whitler finished the season with a 17-23 overall singles record and was 12-13 in dual matches at the No. 3 spot. She also posted 11 dual match doubles wins for Louisville at No. 1. Torres compiled a 20-16 overall record in singles and went 14-9 in dual matches at No. 6. Kiehna represented the Cards at Nos. 4 and 5 singles and posted a 4-23 overall record.
U of L finished the season with a 6-20 record.
