
Women's Golf Finishes Second Round At NCAA East Regionals

Chapel Hill, NC - After the second round of play in the NCAA East Regional, the University of Louisville women's golf team is tied at 13th. The Cardinals shot a 318 for the day and have a tournament total of 622. Louisville is tied with Northwestern for 13th.
Duke University stands in first, just one over par with a two day total of 577. Auburn is second at 584 and Georgia third at 595.
Freshman Morgan Hapney shot the team low with a 77 for the day. Hapney currently stands at 39th in individual play with a two day total of 153. Senior Katherine Mowat and sophomore Jessica Kell both are tied at 56th, 12 over par with a score of 156. And sophomore Cindy Pasechnik is at 57th with a score of 157.
"We started out slow again today," said head coach Kelly Meyers. "We weren't able to come back on the back nine like yesterday. The weather conditions were tough today, it was real windy.
"We are still playing with a relatively young team and the lack of experience hurt us just a bit. "
The Cardinals will resume play tomorrow.
