Men's Tennis Defeats William and Mary

BLACKSBURG, Va. - BLACKSBURG, Va. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team defeated William & Mary 5-2 on Saturday at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on the Virginia Tech's campus.
William & Mary took the doubles point as the team of Trevor Spracklin and Pat Brown defeated Tvrtko Kujundzic and Joachim Lien 9-7 at the top seed. William and Mary's No. 2 team of Brian Lubin and Geoffrey Russell won over Brent McCombe and Cody Conley 9-8. The team of Oliver Cantrell and Jake Kirts defeated Matt Davis and Matt Brooks 8-5 at No. 3.
Spracklin posted the Tribe's only singles point with a 6-7, 6-0, 6-3 win over Kujundzic at No. 1. Louisville's Lien, Paulo Carvalho, Conley, McCombe and Cantrell each won in straight sets at Nos. 2-6 respectively.
The Cardinals (9-3) will play Virginia Tech Sunday at 1 p.m.
