U of L Arena Feasibility Committee Will Meet Nov. 16

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville Basketball Arena Feasibility Committee will hold its first meeting since being reactivated on Friday, Nov. 16 at noon at the Telecommunications Research Center conference room on U of L's Shelby Campus.
Reactivated on Oct. 30 at the request of U of L President Dr. John Shumaker, the goal of the committee is to evaluate the long-term seating capacity and facility needs of the Cardinals' basketball program. The group was formed in 1999.
Members of the committee, co-chaired by Malcolm Chancey and Owsley Frazier, include Bob Allison, Norm Berry, George Fischer, Larry Hayes, Neil Huffman, Harry Jones, George King, Lenny Lyles, Tom Meeker, Steve Rowland, Dave Snowden, Sam Swope, Hank Wagner and Harold Workman. Shumaker, U of L Director of Athletics Tom Jurich, and U of L Men's Basketball Coach Rick Pitino will serve as ex-officio members of the committee. Kathleen Smith is special assistant to the co-chairs and recording secretary.
