
Men's Soccer Earns C-USA Players of the Week

Louisville, Ky. - University of Louisville men's soccer team had two members named Conference USA Players of the Week. Senior goalkeeper Jeremy Morales earned Defensive Player of the Week Honors while newcomer Simon Bird was named Offensive Player of the Week.
Morales earned the honor after guiding the Cardinals to two straight wins last week. Morales earned his fourth shutout of the season against Charlotte, totaling 23 for his career. The senior also totaled 10 saves on the week, including one in overtime of the Memphis game.
Bird earned the honor after scoring two game-winning goals in the Cardinals' victories over Charlotte and Memphis. Bird scored the only goal against Charlotte for the 1-0 win. He scored the game-winner in overtime against Memphis on a breakaway. Bird leads the team in goals with 11 on the season, ranking fifth on the all-time list.
The Cardinals will be in action again against IUPUI on Thursday night in Indianapolis.
