
Men's Soccer Registers a Shutout Against Charlotte

Charlotte, NC - The University of Louisville men's soccer team defeated Charlotte 1-0 at Transamerica Field on Thursday night. The Cardinals improve to 6-9-1 overall and 2-5-1 in Conference USA while Charlotte falls to 7-7-2 overall and 3-3-1 in Conference USA.
Louisville's Simon Bird scored the game winner with a breakaway goal at the 32:08 mark of the match off an assist from junior Courtenay Commander.
Louisville outshot Charlotte 10-6. The 49ers had two serious scoring threats in the second half but senior keeper Jeremy Morales was able to stop the two shots on goal.
The Cardinals wrap up their home season on Sunday, November 4 at 3:00 p.m. against Memphis in Cardinal Park.
