
Women's Golf Stands In 13th at Lady Paladin Invite

Greenville, SC - The University of Louisville women's golf team shot a 316 today in the first round of the Lady Paladin Invitational. The Cardinals currently stand in 13th place out of 21 teams. Auburn and Wake Forest are tied for first with a score of 299 while Ohio State and LSU are tied for third with a 302.
"I am please with how consistent we stayed despite the weather," said head coach Kelly Meyers. "We are missing a low round to keep us in the game but we will attack tomorrow and see where that puts us. I think that we will have a better attitude in dealing with the weather tomorrow."
Erin Bell and Ali Wright shot a 77 for the team low. They currently stand in 29th place. LSU's Meredith Duncan and Wake Forest's Nuria Clau are tied for first at even par.
Cindy Pasechnik, Jessica Kell and Morgan Hapney all shot an 81 and stand tied at 69th. Lizzy Freemantle shot an 83 while competing as an individual.
The Cards will have continue play tomorrow, teeing off at 12:30 p.m.
