
Louisville Invitational Tournament dominated by Eastern Michigan in Singles

Louisville, KY. -- Eastern Michigan won four of the six singles flights at the Louisville Invitational Tournament at the Bass Rudd Tennis Center. Wisconsin picked up the other two wins.
EMU won Flight A and B in the winners bracket with Lisa D'Amelio and Amalia Lincaru winning the A and B flights respectively. In the consolation brackets, EMU's Rebecca Hawkins and Kendra Clark won the singles Flights A and C brackets.
Wisconsin's Lindsay Martin picked up a win iun the Flight C with a 7-6 (3), 6-3 win over Cincinnati's Julie Klauck.
Louisville's Mariana Torres was the only Cardinal to survive to the last day in singles. She was beaten in the semi-final round by UT-Chattanooga's Stephanie Miles. Wisconsin's Lara Vojnov then beat Miles 6-3, 6-1 to win the Flight B Consolation.
