Trager Stadium, located on the south section of Cardinal Park, was opened on Sept. 22, 2000 as the Louisville field hockey team hosted Ohio University. The new home of the field hockey team is considered one of the best in the nation and will serve as host to the 2002 NCAA Field Hockey Championship.

The lighted, artificial turf field has bleachers along one side that seat approximately 1,200 fans. Portable seating will be brought in for the NCAA Championships this fall.
