Last year marked the 10th year in Cardinal Arena for the volleyball team in the Student Activities Center (SAC). The specialized floor, manufactured by Sport Court, is the state-of-the-art in volleyball facilities. The arena has a computerized scoreboard/message board, enhanced lighting for televising games and a new sound system which was added to the already elegant 840 theatre-seat arena.
When ticket demands have exceeded Cardinal Arena, Louisville has moved down to Louisville Gardens which can seat up to 3,000. They played the 2001 NCAA 1st/2nd Rounds in the KICC, the Kentucky International Convention Center.
Prior to the existence of the SAC, the Cardinals played in Manual Gym from 1977-90 as well as various other facilities in the area.
