
Beckhorn Named MAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville field hockey player Keri Beckhorn earned Mid-American Conference Player of the Week honors.
Beckhorn, a sophomore from Tunkhannock, Pa., has scored in all of the Cards' games, including the game-winner against No. 5 Iowa, the tying goal against No. 13 Boston, sending the game into overtime and she accounted for U of L's lone goal against No. 11 Connecticut in a 2-1 overtime loss. Beckhorn also leads the MAC in goals with four and points with nine.
This marks the first time a U of L field hockey player has received conference player of the week honors since 1996.
Louisville (2-2) will play its home opener against Saint Louis (1-3) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium.
